Harm to animals is one of the toughest crisis situations any organizations can face. CHM worked with a city in Texas in its investigation of a police officer shooting a dog. The result: An independent investigaiton showed the officer did no wrong in the case, and the resulting media firestorm went away quietly for all parties involved.
Media
Relations
The key to successful media relations is engaging the news media and convince them that they will want to cover your story. Even on a Saturday morning when staffing is low and demand for coverage is very high.

One of most successful programs was for the Fort Worth Historical Police Association. The Association and the Fort Worth Police Department dedicated a "Golden Panter Badge" for officers to wear in 2012. The official dedication was on a Saturday. After being told we were crazy to expect media coverage by a member department's PR team, we achieved 100% media participation with our special event.

It's just one example of how partnerships in the media are useful for successful coverage of your events. We don't rely on press releases or announcements. We work individually with each news outlet to make sure we can meet their coverage demands. We will strive to get you coverage in any number of platforms.

The goal is to get you coverage. We achieve that goal very well.
This is the Fort Worth Police Department's Golden Panther Badge, which resulted in a number of successful media events. The biggest was a Saturday morning event that received 100% media participation
